Vote Tommorrow August 14th
Once again it is time to let your vote be counted. Let your voice be heard! Tomorrow is the primary for the US Senate race in Wisconsin, as well as other primaries for the WI legislature. In our area, we have the primary for the WI 37th Assembly district in addition to the U.S. Senate race. Both races have several different candidates running. I encourage you to check out the candidates themselves, and not just look at the “party rhetoric” to decide who to vote for. The mere fact that the party establishment has endorsed a candidate does not mean it is in the best interest of the people to vote for that candidate. We have witnessed first-hand over the past few years, that often the endorsement comes to a person that the party establishment knows they can control. Many times it is not about who is the best candidate with the best ideas. Often those who will stand up for what’s right no matter the political consequences are sidelined in some form or fashion. In this time over 25,000 customer names were reported to West Milwaukee Police Chief Dennis Nasci who ran a background check on each through “his system”. So far in 2012 it was reported more than 8,800 customer name records have been supplied to West Milwaukee Police by Brew City Shooters Supply to have a criminal background check run on them. We do not know yet, how else West Milwaukee Police have been using these records they have been given by Brew City Shooters Supply, nor if they are storing those customer names for future reference. Why Are Republicans Calling To Disarm The American People? The above linked article does a good job to demonstrate why “the price of liberty is eternal vigilance”. We have spoken out repeatedly against the NEOCONs because they truly do not represent the Constitution as they claim. One of the people listed in the linked story is Bill Kristol, editor of the Weekly Standard, a neocon magazine. John McManus of the John Birch Society has done a great job in a presentation explaining the NEOCONSERVATIVE AGENDA. Bill Kristol’s father, Irving Kristol, wrote a book about the Neoconservative Agenda and was a former Trotskyite. Followers of Leon Trotsky, called Trotskyites, were followers of a form of Marxist theory. Trotsky considered himself an orthodox Marxist and a Bolshevik-Leninist. Security and Self-Governance by Ron Paul The senseless and horrific killings last week at a movie theater in Colorado reminded Americans that life is fragile and beautiful, and we should not take family, friends, and loved ones for granted. Our prayers go out to the injured victims and the families of those killed. As a nation we should use this terrible event to come together with the resolve to create a society that better values life. We should also face the sober reality that government cannot protect us from all possible harm. No matter how many laws we pass, no matter how many police or federal agents we put on the streets, no matter how routinely we monitor internet communications, a determined individual or group can still cause great harm. We as individuals are responsible for our safety and the safety of our families. Furthermore, it is the role of civil society rather than government to build a culture of responsible, peaceful, productive individuals. Government cannot mandate morality or instill hope in troubled individuals. Rock River Patriots Meeting
The Rock River Patriots will be having a meeting on Friday July 27th at 6pm. ***NOTE: The location of this meeting has changed from our normal location in Fort Atkinson. UPDATE: This meeting will be held at the Lake Mills EMS Building, 603 East Lake Street, Lake Mills WI 53551. This is a change for this meeting only, and we will resume our meetings in Fort Atkinson in the future. At this meeting we welcome US Senate Candidate Eric Hovde to talk about his campaign and answer some questions about his stances on a variety of issues. This should be an informative meeting! A special thank you goes out to all the people who gave of their time to help staff the Patriots booth at the Jefferson County Fair! We could not have done it without your help.
We recognize this is slightly dated, but still believe there is a need to set the record straight. On June 20, 2012, the Daily Jefferson County Union published an article by Kevin Murphy entitled, “No added prison for Fort man“. This article reports on a Fort Atkinson man who was on probation for possession of an explosive device and recently charged/convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm. In the article (attached), the Rock River Patriots are mentioned because this individual supposedly attended one of our meetings. Is this a deliberate attempt to smear the RRP using a classic “guilt by association” tactic? We think it may be just that. As anyone who attends our meetings can tell you, they are all open to the public. Many people have come and gone since the group formed several years ago. We have a core group of regular attendees and many others who attend sporadically. None of the leaders in the RRP recognize this person. The RRP were never contacted by the writer of this story for comment either. The article also indicates that the judge told the defendant to avoid groups with “nothing positive to offer” with the implication…
