Paul Ryan (R-WI) to Cut Gun Control Deal, Major Vote Next Week

From Ammoland.com Wisconsin – -(Ammoland.com)- While you and I prepare for a weekend of R&R in celebration of this nation’s freedom, Wisconsin Republicrat Paul Ryan is working behind the scenes to crush what little freedom you and I have left. That’s right, Ryan — according to a story on AmmoLand News and again on rollcall.com yesterday, “House Plans Vote on Guns Next Week” — will urge the U.S. House early next week to vote for “a counterterrorism package that will include a provision to prevent suspected terrorists from buying guns” and a so-called mental health bill that will effectively disarm and prohibit gun ownership for millions of Americans without due process based on phony junk science and the “diagnoses” from any anti-gun doctor with an axe to grind. Of course, these politicians — people who have made a career out of habitual lies and broken promises — are trying to reassure gun owners that they will build in an appeals process for anyone wrongly placed on the government’s East-German Stasi-style secret watchlists. Yeah, right. As our friends at Gun Owners of America points out here, even IF there is an appeals process for being wrongly placed on a watchlist (as millions of…

Letter To The Editor On Gun Control From One Of Our Members

Letter to the Editor, The main stream media, internet and talk radio is a buzz with the new “proposal” of “our government” to violate our 2nd Amendment God given rights. Australia, is living proof of what happens when guns are forcibly removed from private ownership. Since the institution of their 1996 gun laws, armed robberies are  up 69%; assaults with guns up 28%; gun murders up 19% and home invasions up 21%. Hmm…how can gun murders be up when guns are illegal to own???? According to Reality Check , Gun statistics are: The US has the highest gun ownership in the world, average of 88 guns per 100 residents. This places us first in the world for gun ownership and  #28 in gun homicide. What about crime statistics in Great Britain? Britain is also the most violent country in the EU, that is 2034 violent crimes per 100,000  The UK has the second highest overall crime rate in the EU. UK has the fifth highest robbery rate and the fourth highest burglary rate. Compare that to the US with 466 violent crimes per 100,000 people. There is an interesting video revealing the statistics from the FBI which is an unbiased…

The Second Amendment Explained

Amendment II A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. In the days when this amendment was written, the militia meant every adult able to bear arms. The militia was not the regular army. The term “regulated” was not a legal term at that time, but a mechanical one. A regulator was any mechanical device used to make something work better. A spin-ball governor was used to “regulate” the speed of a steam engine, as one example. A “Well Regulated” militia meant a militia with all the proper equipment needed to do their job better. That meant good weapons with good sights. After all, what use is a militia if they cannot hit what they are aiming at? The Second Amendment is not about target shooting or hunting. At the time, hunting was indispensable for survival in the new nation, especially when food crops were unavailable. To deprive the people of their hunting weapons was to condemn them to death by starvation in the winter months. Military commanders of the time viewed hunting weapons as off limits. When Lieutenant Colonel George…

The Shotgun – A True Story of Gun Control

The Shotgun – A True Story of Gun Control by TheLasersShadow You’re sound asleep when you hear a thump outside your bedroom door.  Half-awake, and nearly paralyzed with fear, you hear muffled whispers.  At least two people have broken into your house and are moving your way. With your heart pumping, you reach down beside your bed and pick up your shotgun. You rack a shell into the chamber, then inch toward the door and open it. In the darkness, you make out two shadows.  One holds something that looks like a crowbar.  When the intruder brandishes it as if to strike, you raise the shotgun and fire.  The blast knocks both thugs to the floor.  One writhes and screams while the second man crawls to the front door and lurches outside. As you pick up the telephone to call police, you know you’re in trouble.  In your country, most guns were outlawed years before, and the few that are privately owned are so stringently regulated as to make them useless.. Yours was never registered.  Police arrive and inform you that the second burglar has died.  They arrest you for First Degree Murder and Illegal Possession of a Firearm. When…

Why Are Republicans Calling To Disarm The American People?

Why Are Republicans Calling To Disarm The American People? The above linked article does a good job to demonstrate why “the price of liberty is eternal vigilance”.  We have spoken out repeatedly against the NEOCONs because they truly do not represent the Constitution as they claim. One of the people listed in the linked story is Bill Kristol, editor of the Weekly Standard, a neocon magazine.  John McManus of the John Birch Society has done a great job in a presentation explaining the NEOCONSERVATIVE AGENDA.  Bill Kristol’s father, Irving Kristol, wrote a book about the Neoconservative Agenda and was a former Trotskyite.  Followers of Leon Trotsky, called Trotskyites, were followers of a form of Marxist theory.  Trotsky considered himself an orthodox Marxist and a Bolshevik-Leninist.  Watch the video, and see for yourself.  We can conclude from Kristol’s comments that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Also contained in the above link is the PINHEAD Bill O’Reilly, proving once again he is no friend of liberty.  We have the video below for you to view.  O’Reilly’s analysis is full of factual inaccuracies and will not even allow the congressman time to explain anything.  O’reilly is deliberately misleading his viewers calling…

U.N. Small Arms Treaty – Pay Attention Gun Owners

U.N. Agreement Should Have All Gun Owners Up In Arms We have talked at length about this before and have genuine reasons to be concerned.  If the U.S. Senate ever ratifies this treaty, we will be in real trouble. It is fair to say that it will lead to a Constitutional Crisis, and possibly a civil war.  Wisconsin residents have Constitutional protections both in the 2nd Amendment and in the WI Constitution Article I Section 25.  I could never imagine gun owners voluntarily giving up their guns nor most law enforcement officers going door to door to confiscate weapons. However, this is another reason not to have a database of those who carry concealed.  It is a list that will be used if this small arms treaty is ever ratified. I can already hear the shouts by gun owners.  The words echo the phrase made famous by the Spartan King Leonidas…“MOLON LABE – Come and Take Them!”

Wisconsin: “Micro-stamping” and “Lost or Stolen” Legislation To Be Heard in Committee Next Week!‏

This is from a NRA Alert…MORE ANTI-GUN LEGISLATION! Wisconsin: “Micro-stamping” and “Lost or Stolen” Legislation To Be Heard in Committee next Week! Please Contact the Committee Members! On Tuesday, December 1 at 11:00 A.M., the Wisconsin State Senate Judiciary Committee will consider two anti-gun bills, Senate Bill 174 and Senate Bill 367.  Both of these bills would infringe on rights of law-abiding gun owners and have no impact on crime. SB 174 would require micro-stamping technology on all newly manufactured handguns sold in Wisconsin.  If passed, the bill would require newly sold handguns to micro-stamp a unique code onto the cartridge case upon firing.  This unproven technology will increase the cost of firearms, potentially putting them out of reach to some consumers. However, since no manufacturer currently sell a firearm capable of micro-stamping a cartridge case, it will effectively ban new handguns in Wisconsin. In addition, criminals could easily remove the microscopic codes from the firearm using using any number of commonly-owned household tools.  This dangerous legislation needs to be defeated. SB 367 would require gun-owners to report lost or stolen firearms within a 48-hour period or face fines and possible imprisonment. If passed, this legislation could turn law-abiding gun owners –who have already been victimized by theft–into criminals  for failing to report the loss of theft of a firearm within the…
