Wisconsin: Gov. Evers Calls for Firearm Confiscation & Criminalizing Private Transfers

NEVER TRUST LIBERALS…ONCE AGAIN THEY HAVE SHOWN THEIR TRUE INTENTIONS – TOTAL GUN CONFISCATION!

THEY WILL CONTINUE TO TRY TO TAKE AWAY YOUR RIGHT OF SELF DEFENSE BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY.  USUALLY THEY ATTEMPT TO MASK THE GUN CONFISCATION IN LANGUAGE USING WORDS LIKE “COMMON SENSE GUN CONTROL” OR “REASONABLE REFORM”.

MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT…NOTHING THEY PROPOSE IS REASONABLE.  THEIR INTENTIONS ARE CLEAR.  THEY HATE YOU AND WANT TO CONTROL YOU BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY.  THE ONLY WAY THEY CAN DO THAT IS BY TAKING AWAY YOUR ABILITY TO RESIST.

FROM NRA-ILA:

On September 19th, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers, Attorney General Josh Kaul, Representative Melissa Sargent (D-48), and Senator Lena Taylor (D-4) held a press conference calling on the Legislature to violate the Second Amendment by: 1) allowing confiscation of firearms without due process; and 2) criminalizing private transfers. If the Legislature does not quickly comply with these demands, Gov. Evers threatened to push for a special session.

WI State Senator David Craig Responds:

Madison, WI — Today, State Senator David Craig (R-Town of Vernon) released the following statement on Governor Tony Evers’ willingness to consider gun confiscation in Wisconsin:

“This is why Wisconsinites will never trust liberals with their Second Amendment Rights. Hiding behind every supposedly ‘reasonable’ gun control measure is the Democrats’ desire to confiscate firearms from law-abiding citizens.”

“Today’s statement by Governor Evers entertaining gun confiscation is beyond troubling and is a window into Wisconsin liberals’ intentions to trample on our state and federal Constitutional rights.”

Contact your legislators in support the upcoming right to work bill as well as being repeal of the 48 hour waiting period for handgun purchases.

Right to work is all about personal freedom. An individual should not have to be forced into joining a union just because of their chosen career field is one dominated by unions.  The hearing is scheduled for Tuesday,  February 24th.  Invited speakers will go first (likely taking up first 2-3 hours) then the public will have the opportunity to testify.  RTW hearing, February 24th, 10:00 am in Room 411 South of the State Capitol  (Senate’s Labor Committee).

Senate Bill 35 and Assembly Bill 49 – Repealing the 48 hour waiting period on handgun purchases only makes sense.  A buyer has a background check completed as part of the purchasing process . The other thing to recognize is that the 48 hour waiting period does not apply to long guns. If a person is determined to do harm to someone else using a gun, it is very easy for them to obtain a long  gun without the 48 hour waiting period.  Finally, as we always need to mention, criminals do not obey the law anyway. These measures simply infringe on the law abiding citizens natural right of self-defense.

ALERT! Over the weekend the Speaker of the Assembly, Rep. Robin Vos spoke out IN FAVOR of Common Core at the Racine GOP Caucus!

On Saturday, February 21st, Rep. Robin Vos spoke about Common Core at the Racine County GOP caucus.  He said: “Common Core isn’t bad and it’s just a bunch of goals everybody would agree with.”

Rep. Vos is spreading a myth and this is very, very dangerous!
We all know that Common Core is much more than “just a bunch of goals”.  It is a Big Government/Big Business takeover of public education, a standardization of our children’s minds, an objectification of our teachers, and a removal of local control from our school systems.  Rep. Robin Vos and Governor Scott Walker must be made aware that we do not appreciate such dismissive remarks about such a crucial issue.
Our calls for will be to:

Rep Robin Vos – Speaker – (608) 266-9171
(also email Rep. Vos at Rep.Vos@legis.wisconsin.gov)
Governor Scott Walker – (608) 266-1212
(also email Governor Walker at govgeneral@wisconsin.gov)

You can use a message similar to the following:

“I understand that, over the weekend, Rep. Robin Vos said that Common Core is ‘just a bunch of goals everyone would agree with’.  Well, I DON’T AGREE WITH COMMON CORE.  Its goals are to standardize education in America in a way that demoralizes teachers, removes local control of schools from parents and taxpayers, disrespects differences among students, and profits big education corporations.  We can’t afford this.  The cost to us in terms of dollar, our children’s future, and academic freedom is just too high.  Why won’t Rep. Vos join Governor Walker and push for a COMPLETE REPEAL of Common Core?”

WI CCW LAW MARKS 1st ANNIVERSARY

We were told by the anti-gun crowd there would be blood in the streets as a result of the passage of Concealed Carry.  We were told Wisconsin would be like the Wild West.  We were told law abiding citizens were a dangerous group who could not be trusted to carry concealed weapons.

We look one year later after the implementation of WI Act 35…None of the things we were told would happen have come to pass.  What has happened, however, is people are more able to protect themselves.  People are empowered.  No longer do they need to be “helpless sheep” that are prey for the “wolves”.

This should be an example for everyone of the typical fear mongering that we see by the leftist, communist, socialist, and collectivist groups on virtually every issue.  Start calling them out for who and what they are!  These groups operate on the tactic of using fear to control people to do their bidding.  By scaring the “daylights” out of people, fear forces people to operate on raw emotion instead of logic and rational thought.  People are in a “perpetual fight or flight” mode, a terrible place to be.  Common sense and rational thought goes out the window.  To quote one Jedi Master, “Fear is the path to the Dark Side.”

Fear is a powerful motivator.  However, with proper training, the fear response can be controlled and even harnessed in critical situations.  Just remember, for most people, everyday living is not full of crisis-type situations.  Don’t live in fear or crisis mode, but please be prepared for what may come.

One of the best ways to reduce fear and build self-confidence is to be prepared.  Prepare yourself spiritually, mentally, and physically.

One year anniversary of Wisconsin’s concealed carry law

MADISON (WSAU)  Today is the first anniversary of Wisconsin’s concealed weapons law – and the state’s attorney general says it’s working as well as expected. About 138,500 state carry permits were granted in the first year – 13,000 more than what J-B Van Hollen predicted six months ago. Around 150,000 people have applied for concealed weapons licenses, and Van Hollen said many of the ones rejected were for clerical errors.

There were long delays at first in getting the applications processed. But the backlog has disappeared, and Van Hollen says the review process is now going smoothly.

Wisconsin was the 49th state to allow concealed carry – and Van Hollen says the Badger State has not become the “Wild West” like opponents claimed it would be. The only high-profile shooting was in January in Milwaukee. A grocery shopper at Aldi’s with a concealed carry permit shot at two men who were trying to rob the store. The place had a sign banning concealed weapons, but prosecutors decided not to charge the shooter.

Meanwhile training standards for permit holders are still in limbo. The Justice Department is still using temporary rules that require weapons’ holders to get training – but they don’t spell out anything specific. State lawmakers are still considering tougher standards that require lessons on using deadly force, and the safe use of firearms-and-bullets. Lawmakers are expected to act on the new rules early next year.

UN Small Arms Treaty Negotiations Underway – This is TREASON!

Below is info from the NRA regarding the attempt at stealing away your 2nd Amendment Rights by Team Obama.  Since OPERATION FAST AND FURIOUS did not work, this UN Small Arms Treaty is another attempt at making you a slave.

Here is an NRA link to 5 videos that you need to see about this issue: U.N. ARMS TRADE TREATY

Below is clipped from last Fridays update, (link above),  from the NRA on the first week of the United Nations Conference on the Arms Trade Treaty discussions currently underway that is supported by Team BHO…NRA provides a hot link in last sentence to a “Write Your Representatives” tool.

…”As we reported last week, for nearly 20 years, the NRA has fought tirelessly to oppose any United Nations effort to undermine the constitutional rights of law-abiding American gun owners.  That fight has grown more intense lately, as the U.N. and global gun banners have markedly stepped up their attack on our Second Amendment freedoms by including civilian arms in the proposed Arms Trade Treaty.

As called for in a resolution adopted by the U.N. General Assembly in 2009, a conference began this week in New York City to draft the treaty’s language.  The United Nations Conference on the Arms Trade Treaty is one of the most serious threats to American gun owners in decades.

The NRA will continue to maintain a strong presence at the ATT meeting, which will run through July 27.  And we will continue to champion the position that any ATT must in no way impact gun owners’ rights.

As we await the conclusion of the meeting, please be sure to contact your U.S. Senators and urge them to strongly oppose any U.N. treaty that in any way diminishes our constitutional rights.

You can find contact information for your U.S. Senators by using the “Write Your Representatives” tool at www.NRAILA.org.  You may also contact your Senators by phone at (202) 224-3121”…
