The Rock River Patriots will be having a meeting this Friday June 14th at 6:00pm in Fort Atkinson at the Dwight Foster Library.  The Dwight Foster Library is located at 209 Merchants Avenue in Fort Atkinson. At this meeting, we will receive an update on the WI budget process from Rep. Steve Nass.  We will also discuss the recent “Big Brother Government Spying” revelations that have come to light and hear the story of one whistle-blower on this issue. In a stunning upset for the Obama administration and big-government zealots in general, a federal judge in New York has issued an injunction against the citizen detention portion of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Bob Unruh at World Net Daily has the story. “A district-court judge has suspended enforcement of a law that could strip U.S. citizens of their civil rights and allow indefinite detention of individuals President Obama believes to be in support of terror. “The Obama administration has refused to ensure that the First Amendment rights of authors and writers who express contrary positions or report on terror group activities are protected under his new National Defense Authorization Act. “Targeted in the stunning ruling from U.S. District Judge Katherine B. Forrest of New York was Paragraph 1021 of the NDAA, which Obama signed into law last Dec. 31. Below is a video from Alex Jones regarding the feds desire to ban his film THE OBAMA DECEPTION saying it was the reason the man shot at the White House recently.  I encourage everyone to watch the film.  It never advocates for violence of any kind.  This is a way to move the dialogue of those critical of the “globalist elite / central banksters” as being crazy and motivated to commit acts of violence. No matter what you think of Alex Jones, this should scare everyone.  As we have written previously, this is a tool to paint advocates of liberty and fidelity to the Constitution as “extremists”.  The change from using the term “terrorist” to the now commonly used term “extremist” is deliberate.  It is an important step in bringing the full power of the Patriot Act to bear on those critical of the Fed and advocates of freedom, sound money, big government,  etc… By  implying that people watching films like THE OBAMA DECEPTION are motivated to violence, they are essentially now calling these people “terrorists”.  After all, according to their definition,  isn’t that what terrorists are?  Terrorists are people / groups motivated by ideology to commit acts of violence….

In order to prevent a filibuster, Reid performed “some procedural gymnastics,” according to Fox News, and slipped Patriot Act language into a House small business bill that is considered filibuster-proof. In doing so, Reid has skirted objections to the bill led by Paul and has moved closer to extending the Patriot Act without debate. The Rock River Patriots have long spoken out against the Patriot Act because it is a blantant violation of our civil rights.  We warned that the Patriot Act will be used against patriotic Americans who are Pro-Life, Support the 2nd Amendment, believe in fidelity to the Constitution, support Ron Paul, ect…This is based on the information written in the MIAC Report that cites those view as “extremist” and the people as “potential domestic terrorists.”  We maintain that this is not about protecting Americans, but about control.  If it were about security, we would have secured our borders long ago. House Unexpectedly Defeats Patriot Act I am sure that this is not the last we have heard of this.  It is only a temporary victory as they will continue to push forward these provisions.  Prepare to keep the pressure on!  Don’t be fooled when you hear the Neo-Cons tell you the world will fall apart without these provisions.  If they really cared about terrorism, our borders would have been secured a long time ago. Shocking as it may seem, Wisconsin Congressional Representatives Tammy Baldwin and Gwen Moore voted against the bill.  As much as it hurts me to say this, they at least deserve to be recognized for this vote.  Could it be that they are starting to understand the Constitution?  Could it be that we are finally getting through to them? While these provisions are not even close to the worst parts of the Patriot Act, opposing these measures are a start.  We need to continue to fight for the government to obey the Constitution.  This is a tremendous opportunity to educate people about the principles of liberty and freedom.  We cannot allow this to be “passed in the middle of the night”. When you are called a “liberal” or some other pejorative names, ask them this question: If we are so concerned about terrorism, why haven’t we secured our borders? It’s been over 10 yrs since 9/11 and we still do not know who is coming in to our country.
