Rock River Patriots Meeting Friday January 9th – CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER

I regret to inform all of you planning to attend the Rock River Patriots Meeting tomorrow night, January 9th, 2015, that the meeting has been cancelled due to the weather.  We received notice that many people were not going to be able to attend because of the bad weather. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.   We hope to see you all in February at our next meeting!

Thank You and Merry Christmas!

On behalf of the Rock River Patriots, I want to thank you for all you have done this past year. As we look ahead to the upcoming year, we see there is much to be done. It is an opportunity to truly change Wisconsin for the better. This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact and return our state to something great. However, with all that needs to be done, it is easy to forget why Christmas is so important in the first place. We continually hear the cliche that “the true meaning of Christmas is about giving.” Yes, it is the season to be giving, but there is more to the story. The true meaning of Christmas is the celebration of God’s gift to mankind. God sent his son, Jesus Christ to provide a means of salvation to a fallen people. Only by accepting God’s free gift of Jesus Christ, can we truly be free. I encourage you all to take the time to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas and thank God for his gift this Christmas season. Finally, the deadline for submitting papers / signatures to be a candidate in the upcoming spring election is…

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

The Rock River Patriots want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.  Even thought our country is headed in the wrong direction, we have much to be thankful for.  Please take a little time out of your busy schedule today and give thanks to God for all His blessings and pray for this nation. Below is the text of the first Thanksgiving proclamation by George Washington during his first year as President.  It sets aside Thursday, November 26 as “A Day of Public Thanksgiving and Prayer.” Signed by Washington on October 3, 1789 and entitled “General Thanksgiving,” the decree appointed the day “to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God.” While there were Thanksgiving observances in America both before and after Washington’s proclamation, this represents the first to be so designated by the new national government. General Thanksgiving WHEREAS it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favour; and Whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me “to recommend to the people of the United States…

Common Core Hearing A Sham!

Steve Kauffeld is a member of the Watertown School Board and a member of the Rock River Patriots. March 8, 2014 Letter to the Editor, On Thur Feb 6 th , the people’s voice was stymied, by an orchestrated public hearing lead by Sen.Luther Olsen who is chairman of the Senate Education Committee. The hearing was on Senate Bill 619 co-sponsored by Senator Leah Vukmir and Senator Paul Farrow. I try to attend various legislative hearings in Madison and other locations around the state, particularly those I have a vested interest in. Being a school board member, I have had considerable interest in the implementation of Common Core standards in our state’s public schools.   I don’t know what is more galling to me, the political gamesmanship proffered  by Sen Luther Olsen with his AP interview two hours before the hearing was held, stating that this Bill was dead, the preferential treatment given the DPI, CESA administrators, our district school superintendent and their staff and supportive teachers, or the subsequent AP article published in the Watertown Times Fri.   March 7th, page 7, first section. I could write an entire article on the bias shown and misrepresentations printed in that article….

UN Small Arms Treaty Negotiations Underway – This is TREASON!

Below is info from the NRA regarding the attempt at stealing away your 2nd Amendment Rights by Team Obama.  Since OPERATION FAST AND FURIOUS did not work, this UN Small Arms Treaty is another attempt at making you a slave. Here is an NRA link to 5 videos that you need to see about this issue: U.N. ARMS TRADE TREATY http://www.nraila.org/legislation/federal-legislation/2012/un-arms-trade-treaty-negotiations-underway.aspx?s=&st=&ps= Below is clipped from last Fridays update, (link above),  from the NRA on the first week of the United Nations Conference on the Arms Trade Treaty discussions currently underway that is supported by Team BHO…NRA provides a hot link in last sentence to a “Write Your Representatives” tool. …”As we reported last week, for nearly 20 years, the NRA has fought tirelessly to oppose any United Nations effort to undermine the constitutional rights of law-abiding American gun owners.  That fight has grown more intense lately, as the U.N. and global gun banners have markedly stepped up their attack on our Second Amendment freedoms by including civilian arms in the proposed Arms Trade Treaty. As called for in a resolution adopted by the U.N. General Assembly in 2009, a conference began this week in New York City to draft the…

Republicans Win All But One Recall Race…Reports of Voting Irregularities In Racine

In all but one recall race in Wisconsin, the Republicans achieved a decisive victory.  The races that were supposed to be very close, were called very early in the night for Gov. Walker, Lt. Gov. Kleefisch, Sen. Fitzgerald, Sen. Moulton, and newly elected Jerry Petrowski.  The Racine race is too close to call with Democrat challenger having a lead of approximately 800 votes over Sen. Van Wanggaard with reports of widespread voting irregularities. The reports of voting irregularities are now coming in, including a Detroit Unions busing in Michigan union members  to vote in the WI recall election.  Below are two such stories. Daily Jefferson County Union Letter To The Editor

Below is a letter to the editor of the Daily Jefferson County Union that was printed a few weeks ago.  It articulates some fundamental points that are important to know.  Enjoy! This letter is a response to Dave Tuten’s letter to the editor on Wednesday, July 28, 2010. At the risk of giving Mr. Tuten’s letter any credibility at all, I will respond. First let me address the tone of the letter. There is no need for any personal attacks against Ms. Bakken or anyone in the Tea Party/Patriot Movement. Mr. Tuten’s letter is hate filled and mean-spirited. It is unfortunate that Mr. Tuten cannot debate without engaging in low-level attacks. Having said that, I would like to address several issues in Mr. Tuten’s letters. Let’s talk about the smoking ban. The issue many people in the Tea Party/Patriot Movement have with this ban is that it is a violation of private property rights. It’s the right of an entrepreneur to decide on his or her premises what is best for their business environment. Whether people smoke in a bar or any other place should be up to the owner of the business. The consumer has a right to make…

From Mark Belling – “Why Are We Vetting Anyone?”

In response to Mark Belling’s comments on his show yesterday about the Rock River Patriots, Nathan Friedl from our group, also responded.  Mark’s response is very intriguing:  “Why is your group vetting anyone?”  Nathan Friedl responded.  Below is the email exchange. From: Nate Friedl Sent: Wednesday, July 14, 2010 7:51 PM To: BELLING, MARK C. Subject: Rock River Patriots Mark, my name is Nathan friedl with the Rock River Patriots in Jefferson County WI. I personally have not heard you mention us on your program but a number of people have told us you have made reference to us including on your show this afternoon (Wednesday July 14). Forgive me if my information is not correct but we were told you stated our group was one of those Tea Party groups who are endorsing candidates. That is absolutely false. We have never and have no intention of ever endorsing anyone. We have a vetting process for candidates and ask the same or very similar questions to each one. Obviously, you can make any statements you like on your program, it’s your program. Having said that, please make certain your facts are accurate if you chose to talk about our group….
