Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We want to take this time to wish you a very Merry Christmas.  Many people like to think about all the gifts and celebrations that happen on this holiday. It is very easy to let yourself get lost in all of the festivities. It is very easy to forget what this time is really all about.

Christmas, however, does not have to do with the gifts that you did or did not get.  No matter how big or how small, those gifts cannot compare to God’s gift to humanity.  The gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ is the greatest gift of all.  “For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?” Mark 8:36

As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, we encourage you to take a few minutes to contemplate what this means for us.  The Creator of the Universe desires a relationship with each and every one of us.  He proved his love for us despite our sinful condition by sending Jesus Christ to be the perfect sacrifice for sin in our place.  God, in essence, sacrificed a part of himself because he loved us so much.

May God’s blessings be upon you this Christmas, and we wish you a prosperous New Year!

Upcoming Events

January 5th is the deadline to file your papers to run for local office including county board and school board. If you want to make a difference, now is the time. These are areas that directly affect you, and you can make a huge impact.  If you care about Common Core, now is the time to make a difference.  With renewed talk of spending referenda, we need conservative voices on the school boards!

Thank You and Merry Christmas!

On behalf of the Rock River Patriots, I want to thank you for all you have done this past year. As we look ahead to the upcoming year, we see there is much to be done. It is an opportunity to truly change Wisconsin for the better. This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact and return our state to something great.

However, with all that needs to be done, it is easy to forget why Christmas is so important in the first place. We continually hear the cliche that “the true meaning of Christmas is about giving.” Yes, it is the season to be giving, but there is more to the story. The true meaning of Christmas is the celebration of God’s gift to mankind. God sent his son, Jesus Christ to provide a means of salvation to a fallen people. Only by accepting God’s free gift of Jesus Christ, can we truly be free. I encourage you all to take the time to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas and thank God for his gift this Christmas season.

Finally, the deadline for submitting papers / signatures to be a candidate in the upcoming spring election is upon us. The 6th of January 2015 is the declaration deadline for school board and other municipal races. These are important races out of which future conservative leaders of the state can emerge. One of the most important local races is your school board. Not only does your local school district account for close to half of the property tax bill you see each year, but it also oversees what your kids will learn. Through control of the educational system, the Marxists, Socialists, and Globalists have indoctrinated many young minds. It is time we take it back!

There is a lot to do, and we look forward to an exciting 2015. Our next meeting will be Friday January 9th at 6:00pm in Fort Atkinson at the Dwight Foster Library
