Are you in the crowd who thinks former WI Governor Tommy Thompson should run for U.S. Senate?  Here are a couple videos that might change your mind.  He supports Obamacare or something like it, and he wants you to get “chipped”.  There are many other reasons not to support Tommy, but this is a good start. The Rock River Patriots want to thank all of our members who attended our meeting this past Friday. We want to extend our thanks to County Supervisors Craig Peterson and Greg Torres for talking about the county board and how the redistricting plan affects the county.  Thank you to Brian Sikma of Media Trackers for taking time out of his busy schedule to talk about Media Trackers’ goals / mission.  Thank you Steve Kauffeld for telling us about your decision to run for State Assembly. This is a reminder we will be having a meeting this Friday August 12th in the Community Room at the Dwight Foster Library at 6pm.  The Dwight Foster Library is located at 209 Merchants Ave. in Fort Atkinson. At this meeting we will discuss current events and initiatives.  We also welcome  two county board supervisors to our meeting to discuss current issues facing the county.  Finally, we will hear from Media Trackers about their mission, goals, recent successes. This is a meeting you do not want to miss.  Hope to see you  all there!

It has definitely been a wild couple of weeks that continues to prove to me that nothing will ever change in Washington D.C. We have seen a debt ceiling deal that does nothing to change the course our country is headed on.  The TEA Party has been called terrorists by Vice President Joe Biden, and demonized by some in talk radio and the IMPOTENT Republican establishment. I don’t know how many times I’ve heard the Republican establishment wimps say, ” We only have one branch of government, how much can we be expected to do?”  Controlling one branch of government is all that is needed to prevent any bad bill from being passed! THE SOLUTION SHOULD HAVE BEEN: Pass a spending freeze bill and cuts similar to what Sen. Rand Paul suggested ( a spending freeze and 1% cut each year for six years), and spend the rest of the time explaining it to your districts.  If the Senate and POTUS refuse to do anything with the bill, stay in your district and keep explaining it.  That is truly why we have a system of checks and balances.  The sky will not fall as they have led you to believe….

Below is a letter from one of our members on the Debt Ceiling Bill.  Very thought provoking…Remember the establishment Republicans lecturing the TEA Party, telling us that this was the best we could expect to get with a divided federal government?  We got a lot more than that with this bill. The Dictatorship Is Here. Not only have the federal elections last year proven to mean nothing, we are in fact about to have the most sweeping unconstitutional change to our system of government take place shortly. They, under the guise of the debt debate, have just created what amounts to, a ruling Politburo that will work directly with the President. Congress has just been relegated to a subordinate role to the new “SUPER CONGRESS” that will work directly with POTUS. Yes, the Republicans have just sold this country out, big time. This SUPER CONGRESS will have substantial powers that will in effect, allow the establishment Republicans and Democrats, to have total control of the process in Washington. Take that Tea Party! Take that all of you Patriots! How dare you Tea Party Patriots disrupt our agenda to create a regionalized Global Government with your silly elections last Fall. We…

Protest Against Governor Walker Governor, Opportunities Protested I realize this story is a few days old, but it is still worth commenting on. The first instance we observed developmentally disabled people victimized by the “Unionista Mob” was the shameful display at the Special Olympics award ceremony in Madison on June 8th.  The event recognizing their accomplishments was ruined because of the classless behavior of these “thugs”.  Their “crime”…the terrible act of receiving recognition by Gov. Scott Walker. This past Thursday, we had the chance to see the same classless behavior by the “Unionista Mob” in Fort Atkinson at the Opportunities, Inc. Gala.  Opportunities Inc. is an organization that primarily assists developmentally disabled people obtain work in the community.  They recently expanded their facilities, and Gov. Walker was invited to speak at their event.  So the “Unionista Mob” had to protest, disrupt the event and “show” Gov. Scott Walker. I wonder how the developmentally disabled see this protest?  Were they threatened and/or intimidated by this?  What about the parents attending this event who have fought so hard for the rights of their developmentally disabled children?  What are they to think?  I’m sure when they drove to this event, there thoughts were…

Here is some thought provoking commentary from one of our members on the phoney debt ceiling debate going on in Washington D.C…. If anyone is by chance is still holding their breath about US debt and the current negotiations, feel free to relax. Everything they are “scrambling” to do in Washington right now means, yep, absolutely nothing. No matter what they pass, even if it was 5 trillion, 6 trillion, 8 trillion……….does not matter. Why, because they can call it a cut all they want to but it is not. The spending increases (NOT THE DEBT BUT SPENDING INCREASES) by law are set to increase every two year cycle. The negotiations for this current debt discussion are associated with a 10 year projection. Yes, some like Rush and other radio guys will tell you that the AUTOMATIC spending increases over the next ten years will amount to 9 to 10 trillion dollars. That is above current day spending. So, do that math and cut 8 trillion dollars and the net result is not a cut at all but a 2 TRILLION DOLLAR INCREASE THAT THEY CALL AN 8 TRILLION DOLLAR CUT………….. Yea, that kind of accounting gets the average business…

Attached is a flyer for the Patriots’ Picnic being held in Verona on Saturday July 30th from 11am – 4pm.  This is a chance for patriots from all over Wisconsin to get together and celebrate some of the successes we have had this year.  Make no mistake about it…There is still much to do.  Let this be a time to re-energize yourselves, and prepare to fight on.
