ROCK RIVER PATRIOTS

The Rock River Patriots will be having a meeting this Friday June 14th at 6:00pm in Fort Atkinson at the Dwight Foster Library.  The Dwight Foster Library is located at 209 Merchants Avenue in Fort Atkinson. At this meeting, we will receive an update on the WI budget process from Rep. Steve Nass.  We will also discuss the recent “Big Brother Government Spying” revelations that have come to light and hear the story of one whistle-blower on this issue. The RRP have continually spoke out against the Patriot Act and the Federal Gov’t spying on American citizens without a warrant.  In light of all the recent scandals and abuses of power, why would we trust them to do the right thing.  Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.  Instead, we need to bind the government down by the chains of the Constitution”, as one of our Founding Fathers had said.  The government’s primary function is to protect our freedom and keep us free, not to provide “cradle to the grave” security.  When government keeps us free and protects our liberty, we are made safer.  However, when government assumes ultimate power and authority in order to protect us, they will ultimately…

At Friday nights meeting we have a special guest speaker who many of you may already know. We would like to welcome Loren Spivack “The Free Market Warrior” was born and raised in Massachusetts and spent most of his adult life in New York City. Before becoming active in politics, Spivack worked for several non-profits and as a management consultant for both profit and non-profit companies. Spivack founded “Free Market Warrior” in 2009 in an effort to make a positive difference in American politics and economics. He was expelled from Concord Mills Mall in North Carolina in July of 2009 for selling material critical of the Obama Administration.  (Mall owners, Simon Property Group, are major Democratic donors.) Since then Loren has devoted his time to teaching conservative groups about free market economics. He conducts “Economic Literacy” seminars across the United States. The president would no doubt like to modify the word “created” to read “shall be maintained,” since his presidency seems dedicated to keeping us equal, not in terms of equality of rights and opportunity but of outcome. The Rock River Patriots will be having a meeting this Friday February 8th at 6pm in Fort Atkinson at the Dwight Foster Library.  The Dwight Foster Library is located at 209 Merchants Avenue in Fort Atkinson. At this meeting we will discuss current events, initiatives, and more.  We now have another presentation on DVD on “The UN Agenda 21 and the Fundamental Transformation of America”.  Some who have attended our meetings have heard this presentation.  It is definitely worth sharing with your friends and neighbors.  

Just to make sure everyone is aware, there is NO Rock River Patriots meeting this Friday January 25th, 2013. We look forward to seeing everyone at our next meeting on February 8th.

Guns Across America Rallies are being held at State Capitols throughout the United States this Saturday January 19th.  Join fellow patriots at noon in support of your right to keep and bear arms and rally against any new gun control legislation. Gun Control = More Crime  

Letter to the Editor, The main stream media, internet and talk radio is a buzz with the new “proposal” of “our government” to violate our 2nd Amendment God given rights. Australia, is living proof of what happens when guns are forcibly removed from private ownership. Since the institution of their 1996 gun laws, armed robberies are  up 69%; assaults with guns up 28%; gun murders up 19% and home invasions up 21%. Hmm…how can gun murders be up when guns are illegal to own???? According to Reality Check , Gun statistics are: The US has the highest gun ownership in the world, average of 88 guns per 100 residents. This places us first in the world for gun ownership and  #28 in gun homicide. What about crime statistics in Great Britain? Britain is also the most violent country in the EU, that is 2034 violent crimes per 100,000  The UK has the second highest overall crime rate in the EU. UK has the fifth highest robbery rate and the fourth highest burglary rate. Compare that to the US with 466 violent crimes per 100,000 people.
