We are quoted in the story regarding the newly elected RNC Chairman Reince Preibus so I think it is appropriate to provide the link. Reince Priebus’s tea party tightrope Many in the TEA Party / Patriot movement will continue to be skeptical of the Republican Party on a National Level.  Our movement was instrumental in helping the Republicans retake control of the U.S. House of Representatives, yet no TEA Party / Patriot candidates that were elected, made it into a leadership position.  They read the U.S. Constitution at the start of the new session and swore an oath to uphold it, yet most still support the Patriot Act, TARP, undeclared wars, and the Federal Reserve.  We have been shouting to stop out of control government spending and make deep cuts, yet the best they can come up with is to “roll-back” spending to 2008 levels.  They speak of Washington having a “spending problem”, yet the new Speaker of the House, John Boehner, could not come up with one area to cut spending when he was asked by NBC’s Brian Williams on the Nightly News. It will be interesting to see if Reince Preibus does listen to our movement.  The real proof…

The Rock River Patriots will be having a meeting in Jefferson at Kendall Packaging this Friday January 14th at 6:00pm.  Kendall Packaging is located at 707 N. Parkway Street. At this meeting we will discuss current news and events.  The majority of the meeting will focus on understanding the Wisconsin Legislative Process.  We will be guided through this process by Marv Munyon – Founder and President of Wisconsin Capitol Watch.  Mr. Munyon has a vast amount of knowledge and experience working in Madison with legislators.  This is important information to understand as we begin to push forward with our legislative agenda. You can open-carry right now in Wisconsin for free, with no permit & no government registration. You shouldn’t have to register with the government and pay a permit tax if you want to have your coat/shirt over your sidearm. The criminals don’t abide by open carry laws now as they prey on unsuspecting victims. Both my wife and I have a combined 29-years experience in the military and thousands of hours of firearms training. We are both veterans of several military conflicts and truly attest to the value of firearms without government restrictions. Statistically speaking, cars kill more people than guns annually. Why subject us or honest law abiding citizens to overbearing rules when our 2nd amendment to the constitution already grants us these rights. With the new year, new governor, and new legislature the real work has begun.  The Rock River Patriots are now a 501(c)4 non-profit organization.  We are working with other TEA Party / Patriot / 9-12 groups as part of the Wisconsin Patriot Coalition to advance legislation that will help restore our government to fiscal sanity, accountability, and protect individual liberties.  It is an exciting time that still requires vigilance and participation on the part of all patriots.  Staying involved is how the promises by our newly elected officials can become a reality for us all.  It also serves as a reminder to them that our allegiance is not to a party, but to the fundamental God-given priciples of liberty guaranteed to each of us by the U.S. and Wisconsin Constitutions.  Heads up Patriots! Sacramento-area pilot punished for YouTube video From the story: Three days after he posted a series of six video clips recorded with a cell phone camera at San Francisco International Airport, four federal air marshals and two sheriff’s deputies arrived at his house to confiscate his federally-issued firearm. The pilot recorded that event as well and provided all the video to News10. At the same time as the federal marshals took the pilot’s gun, a deputy sheriff asked him to surrender his state-issued permit to carry a concealed weapon. A follow-up letter from the sheriff’s department said the CCW permit would be reevaluated following the outcome of the federal investigation. Does anyone see a problem with this?  Obviously there are freedom of speech issues here. There is another important lesson for us all.  They asked him to surrender his state-issued CCW permit!  What was his crime?  The pilot’s natural right to defend himself does not vanish because he is critical of the government.  This is why we are strong advocates for Constitutional Carry. The permit process itself gives an indication that this is not a natural God-given right of self-defense, but rather a right that originates with the government and…

On behalf of the Rock River Patriots, I want to thank you for all you have done this past year. As we look ahead to the upcoming year, we see there is much to be done. It is an opportunity to truly change Wisconsin for the better. This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact and return our state to something great. However, with all that needs to be done, it is easy to forget why Christmas is so important in the first place. We continually hear the cliche that “the true meaning of Christmas is about giving.” Yes, it is the season to be giving, but there is more to the story. The true meaning of Christmas is the celebration of God’s gift to mankind. God sent his son, Jesus Christ to provide a means of salvation to a fallen people. Only by accepting God’s free gift of Jesus Christ, can we truly be free. I encourage you all to take the time to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas and thank God for his gift this Christmas season.
