Guns Across America Rallies are being held at State Capitols throughout the United States this Saturday January 19th.  Join fellow patriots at noon in support of your right to keep and bear arms and rally against any new gun control legislation. Gun Control = More Crime  

Letter to the Editor, The main stream media, internet and talk radio is a buzz with the new “proposal” of “our government” to violate our 2nd Amendment God given rights. Australia, is living proof of what happens when guns are forcibly removed from private ownership. Since the institution of their 1996 gun laws, armed robberies are  up 69%; assaults with guns up 28%; gun murders up 19% and home invasions up 21%. Hmm…how can gun murders be up when guns are illegal to own???? According to Reality Check , Gun statistics are: The US has the highest gun ownership in the world, average of 88 guns per 100 residents. This places us first in the world for gun ownership and  #28 in gun homicide. What about crime statistics in Great Britain? Britain is also the most violent country in the EU, that is 2034 violent crimes per 100,000  The UK has the second highest overall crime rate in the EU. UK has the fifth highest robbery rate and the fourth highest burglary rate. Compare that to the US with 466 violent crimes per 100,000 people. The Rock River Patriots will be having a meeting this Friday January 11th in Fort Atkinson at the Dwight Foster Library at 6pm.  The Dwight Foster Library is located at 209 Merchants Avenue in Fort Atkinson. We will discuss current events and initiatives.  There is a lot of information to discuss.  We hope to see you all there!

Amendment II A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. In the days when this amendment was written, the militia meant every adult able to bear arms. The militia was not the regular army. The term “regulated” was not a legal term at that time, but a mechanical one. A regulator was any mechanical device used to make something work better. A spin-ball governor was used to “regulate” the speed of a steam engine, as one example. A “Well Regulated” militia meant a militia with all the proper equipment needed to do their job better. That meant good weapons with good sights. After all, what use is a militia if they cannot hit what they are aiming at? The Second Amendment is not about target shooting or hunting. At the time, hunting was indispensable for survival in the new nation, especially when food crops were unavailable. The Shotgun – A True Story of Gun Control by TheLasersShadow You’re sound asleep when you hear a thump outside your bedroom door.  Half-awake, and nearly paralyzed with fear, you hear muffled whispers.  At least two people have broken into your house and are moving your way. With your heart pumping, you reach down beside your bed and pick up your shotgun. You rack a shell into the chamber, then inch toward the door and open it. In the darkness, you make out two shadows.  One holds something that looks like a crowbar.  When the intruder brandishes it as if to strike, you raise the shotgun and fire.  The blast knocks both thugs to the floor.  One writhes and screams while the second man crawls to the front door and lurches outside. As you pick up the telephone to call police, you know you’re in trouble.  In your country, most guns were outlawed years before, and the few that are privately owned are so stringently regulated as to make them useless.. Yours was never registered.  Police arrive and inform you that the second burglar has died.  They arrest you for First Degree Murder and Illegal Possession of a Firearm. When…

Below is a video with some thoughts from “Nutnfancy” that echos much of what we think.  Nutnfacy is a retired Lt. Col. in the US Air Force pilot and has channel on YouTube where he gives independent reviews on different guns and gear. We very much believe that Sheriff Joe Arpaio has it right by calling up his posse to patrol schools.  There is no need to enlarge government to do a job that trained civilians/parents can do.  Possibly in a later post, I will give more details on why this is a good idea. The Rock River Patriots want to wish you and your family a very happy New Year.  We are in the process of determining our goals and plans for the next year.  We ask for your thoughts and prayers as we look to do what God wants us to do in these coming days.  We will continue to try to educate people on all that is happening.  We are looking to see how we can best accomplish that goal.
