The Rock River Patriots want to wish you and your family a very happy New Year.  We are in the process of determining our goals and plans for the next year.  We ask for your thoughts and prayers as we look to do what God wants us to do in these coming days.  We will continue to try to educate people on all that is happening.  We are looking to see how we can best accomplish that goal. THUGS ATTACK: Young Romney Supporter Beaten, Hospitalized The son of a Republican state senator in Wisconsin was brutally attacked and beaten on Friday morning by two thugs attempting to steal his Romney-Ryan yard sign in Whitewater, Wisconsin. We’ll see if the Daily Jefferson County Union actually reports this story.

We recognize this is slightly dated, but still believe there is a need to set the record straight. On June 20, 2012, the Daily Jefferson County Union published an article by Kevin Murphy entitled, “No added prison for Fort man“.  This article reports on a Fort Atkinson man who was on probation for possession of an explosive device and recently charged/convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm. In the article (attached), the Rock River Patriots are mentioned because this individual supposedly attended one of our meetings.  Is this a deliberate attempt to smear the RRP using a classic “guilt by association” tactic?  We think it may be just that. As anyone who attends our meetings can tell you, they are all open to the public.  Many people have come and gone since the group formed several years ago.  We have a core group of regular attendees and many others who attend sporadically.  None of the leaders in the RRP recognize this person.  The RRP were never contacted by the writer of this story for comment either. The meaning of Easter – What does it mean to you? The meaning of Easter is Jesus Christ’s victory over death. His resurrection symbolizes the eternal life that is granted to all who believe in Him. The meaning of Easter also symbolizes the complete verification of all that Jesus preached and taught during His three-year ministry. Vote for the taxpayers on April 3rd!!! The time has come once again to draw your line in the sand.  Will you stand with the taxpayers of your state and county or will you stand with those in the special interest “mob”?  Will you stand with those who believe in fiscal sanity or unlimited government spending?  Will you stand with those who believe in the rule of law or will you stand with the government worker mob who gladly stand in solidarity with communists and socialists? It is your time to choose.  I encourage you to vote for responsibility and fiscal sanity in government.  An “litmus-test” question to ask is whether or not the candidates on your ballot signed a recall petition.  That gives a reasonable indication of where their loyalties lie. Judge acquits Hutaree militia members of conspiracy charges We have posted about this incident in the past because it is important to understand what our government is doing.  We have also questioned the evidence in this case.  The judge obviously saw there was not enough evidence and dismissed the charges.  David Stone Jr. and his son plead guilty to illegal weapons charges.  We are looking into the details of those charges.
