On Friday March 26th, we will be having a meeting in Jefferson at Kendall Packaging at 6pm.  Kendall Packaging is located at 707 N. Parkway Street in Jefferson.  We will discuss upcoming events and issues of importance. We will also be having a Candidate Forum with Evan Wynn.  Evan Wynn is running against Kim Hixon for the 43rd State Assembly  District, part of which encompasses the city of Whitewater. We are also planning for the big TEA Party in Madison on April 15th.  We want to arrange bus transportation back and forth to the TEA Party, but need at least 50 people to commit to making the trip .  The cost will be $10.00 provided we have enough people.  I would like to hear back by this Friday’s meeting so we can reserve a bus or buses.

Those in favor of this bill touted their good intentions of ensuring quality healthcare for all Americans, as if those of us against the bill are against good medical care. They cite fanciful statistics of deficit reduction, while simultaneously planning to expand the already struggling medical welfare programs we currently have. They somehow think that healthcare in this country will be improved by swelling our welfare rolls and cutting reimbursement payments to doctors who are already losing money. It is estimated that thousands of doctors will be economically forced out of the profession should this government fuzzy math actually try to become healthcare reality. In mid-February some of the Rock River Patriots met with reporter Nick Carey from Thomas Reuters to talk about the TEA Party / Patriot movement.  In an effort paint a broad portrait of the movement, several reporters traveled around the country meeting with different TEA Party / Patriot groups in a similar fashion. I think the story was fair in its assessment and the GOP should take notice!  It also proves we are not “AstroTurf” or an arm of the Republican Party. Senator Feingold was in Whitewater at the University this past Friday for another one of his “listening sessions”.  Being that it was scheduled on Friday afternoon at 2:45pm, many in the audience were leftist professors and students.  No shock there.  However, some patriots did make their presence known asking about the constitutionality of federal healthcare programs.  Here are links to the stories: TV 27 Madison Video of Feingold Whitewater Listening Session Janesville Press Gazette Story On Feingold Whitewater Listening Session Jefferson County Daily Union Story On Feingold Whitewater Listening Session The much bigger story is the fact that on a liberal college campus there were only 100 people attending the listening session.  This is supposed the be “home court” for the Leftists, Socialists, and Communists.  You would think the liberals would be coming out of the woodwork.  Instead, only an estimated 100 people (probably less) were there, some being the opposition to “Obamacare”.  It seems like the tide is turning!

We added a new page intended for Patriots to post their “Letters of Outrage”.  This can be outrage directed in the form of Letters to the Editor of the local paper, or letters to the elected officials at any level of government.  This is a great way to draw attention to something that is not being covered by the media, and/or encourage others to get involved. U.S. Senator Russ Feingold will hold a listening session in Walworth County on Friday, February 26. His Walworth County listening session will be held at 2:45 p.m. in the Timmerman Auditorium (HH1000) in Hyland Hall at UW-Whitewater, 800 West Main Street, Whitewater. The meeting will last up to an hour. To paraphrase Ronald Reagan’s words: Since we can’t make him see the light, let’s make him feel the heat!

Here is a clip with Bill O’Reilly interviewing Stewart Rhodes from Oath Keepers.  Listen to O’Reilly justify the unconstitutional confiscation of firearms after Hurricane Katrina.  This is more proof that O’Reilly is no conservative.  This is by no means anything new, but needs to be brought to light. The exact purpose of having a firearm IS to defend yourself against tyranny in whatever form that comes your way.  A declared “state of emergency” does not change the 2nd Amendment.
