The meaning of Easter – What does it mean to you? The meaning of Easter is Jesus Christ’s victory over death. His resurrection symbolizes the eternal life that is granted to all who believe in Him. The meaning of Easter also symbolizes the complete verification of all that Jesus preached and taught during His three-year ministry. If He had not risen from the dead, if He had merely died and not been resurrected, He would have been considered just another teacher or Rabbi. However, His resurrection changed all that and gave final and irrefutable proof that He was really the Son of God and that He had conquered death once and for all. However, Easter did not always symbolize Christ’s resurrection from the dead and the meaning of Easter was quite different than what Christians celebrate today. The feast day of Easter was originally a pagan celebration of renewal and rebirth. Celebrated in the early spring, it honored the pagan Saxon goddess Eastre. When the early missionaries converted the Saxons to Christianity, the holiday, since it fell around the same time as the traditional memorial of Christ’s resurrection from the dead, was merged with the pagan celebration, and became know…

Vote for the taxpayers on April 3rd!!! The time has come once again to draw your line in the sand.  Will you stand with the taxpayers of your state and county or will you stand with those in the special interest “mob”?  Will you stand with those who believe in fiscal sanity or unlimited government spending?  Will you stand with those who believe in the rule of law or will you stand with the government worker mob who gladly stand in solidarity with communists and socialists? It is your time to choose.  I encourage you to vote for responsibility and fiscal sanity in government.  An “litmus-test” question to ask is whether or not the candidates on your ballot signed a recall petition.  That gives a reasonable indication of where their loyalties lie. Judge acquits Hutaree militia members of conspiracy charges We have posted about this incident in the past because it is important to understand what our government is doing.  We have also questioned the evidence in this case.  The judge obviously saw there was not enough evidence and dismissed the charges.  David Stone Jr. and his son plead guilty to illegal weapons charges.  We are looking into the details of those charges. The Rock River Patriots are having a meeting in Fort Atkinson this Friday March 23rd at 6pm in the community room at the Dwight Foster Library located at 209 Merchants Avenue. We have a lot of information to discuss including the past presentations on Agenda 21 and some unprecedented recent events.  This is should be a very informative meeting.  We hope to see you all there!
