Patriots showed up in Whitewater to support Rep. Evan Wynn in Whitewater.  The call went out late yesterday when we learned that AFL-CIO unions were going to protest in front of Rep. Wynn’s home in an attempt to intimidate.  Thanks to all the patriots who got up very early and helped support Evan and his family. CNN, SPLC Propaganda Connects Hutaree to Patriot Movement CNN Smears Completely Unconnected Group As Tea Party Terrorists Patriots…The effort to undermine the TEA Party movement has begun.  It is time for all of you to speak out against the “lame stream media” and their attempts to turn this into a movement of “radicals”.  We have already been called “racist” and “terrorists”.  Now with the raid in Michigan, there is a “face” they can link to the movement. This is a common Alinsky tactic…When a conservative message is resonating with the general public, the leftists seek to attack the messenger in hopes that the message will be ignored.  Every TEA Party / Patriot group that I know of does NOT condone any sort of violence. This cannot be said for the radical left however.  Look at some of Obama’s friends like Bill Ayers, who actually participated in violent actions against our nation. What happens through this whole process?  The TEA Party / Patriot Groups have to use valuable time  and resources explaining that they are not “radicals”.  This occupies time, and then there is less time to promote their original message. In mid-February some of the Rock River Patriots met with reporter Nick Carey from Thomas Reuters to talk about the TEA Party / Patriot movement.  In an effort paint a broad portrait of the movement, several reporters traveled around the country meeting with different TEA Party / Patriot groups in a similar fashion. I think the story was fair in its assessment and the GOP should take notice!  It also proves we are not “AstroTurf” or an arm of the Republican Party. It reminds me of the “Conservative Revolution” of 1994, when the GOP reclaimed both the US Senate and House of Representatives. At that time, it had been over 40 years since the Republican Party controlled both the US House and Senate. And, between the two, the House victories were the most significant. Spurred mostly by the election of Bill Clinton in 1992, a host of young, energetic freshman Republicans marched into Washington, D.C., determined to return a burgeoning and out-of-control federal leviathan to the constitutional precepts of limited government. I’m talking about then-freshman House members such as Helen Chenoweth, Steve Largent, Bob Barr, Joe Scarborough, Sonny Bono, John Shadegg, J.C. Watts, etc. These young conservatives went to Washington, D.C., determined to reduce the growth and size of the federal government. The Dane County Board recently created a Regional Transit Authority (RTA) for the purpose of creating and operating a commuter rail line.  The arguments against this creation were obvious, but they did it anyway.  The Wisconsin 9/12 group and We The People Of The Republic were out in force trying to stop it, but the Dane County Board didn’t care. So what is the big deal?  This only will affect Dane County right?  Wrong!!!  The RTA will now seek to have other counties who “use” the rail lines included in the RTA, and be on the hook for a part of the cost.  That means another NEW TAX on all of us!  Tell all of your County Board Supervisors we do not want to be part of any RTA. On top of that sickening news, the feds are seeking to pass new laws for “safety oversight” of subways and light rail lines.  As with the rest of things done by the Federal Gov’t, now be prepared to see more bureaucracy, more mandates, more spending, and more waste.  Here is the link to the story:  Federal oversight of subways proposed

Reminder: At our October 23 meeting, former WI Supreme Court Candidate Judge Randy Koschnick will talk about the Constitution and answer any questions people have. The meeting is located at Kendall Packaging, 707 N. Parkway Street in Jefferson and starts at 6pm. Reminder: On October 27 at 7pm the Jefferson County Board will hear from the public about the budget.  I encourage as many as possible to attend and tell the supervisors to cut more fat out of the budget excluding the essential services (law enforcement/EMS, and Road Maintenance).  They are still proposing a tax increase of about 3.6% when they can cut in other areas.  They could cut the spending on the county parks ($749,000 to cut the grass) and close down the courthouse for one day a week to save money.  Tell them you want Countyside Nursing Home sold, not a Co-Op!  The level of care will not be reduced! Reminder: Watertown area residents check out this link regarding the school board meeting on October 26th and the proposed tax increase.  You need to get there to fight against the proposed 14% tax increase by the school district because WEAC will be there pushing for the tax increase. …

Congratulations to Wisconsin GrandSons of Liberty and Americans For Prosperity – Wisconsin for such a great event!  It was motivating and encouraging to hear the speeches and see the crowd.  Make no mistake about it, we are NO LONGER the silent majority!  We proved it on Saturday. There were a handful of counter-protesters.  As is typical, the liberal media gives these couple of people almost equal time.  This is another example of their bias.  Why not talk with the other thousands who were there?
