At this meeting, we welcome back author of the book, “Miracles in the Mountains”.    “J.C.” will briefly review some of the key points from his last presentation, and continue on sharing new material on ISIS.  “J.C.” has a unique insight into the area, people, and culture as he spent most of his life in Northern Iraq.  This is a presentation you do not want to miss!

“J.C” will also be speaking on Saturday October 11th at the Church in the Barn in Fort Atkinson Wisconsin at 4:00 pm.  This material will be different from the material shared on Friday night.  Church in the Barn is located at W6789 Westphal Lane in Fort Atkinson, WI  53538.

Here is a brief history of “J.C.” :

Author and speaker “J. C.” is an American Kurd who was born in Kurdistan, in northern Iraq. As a child, he witnessed the violence of the government of Baghdad practiced against his people when his elder brother’s lifeless body was brought back to his parents. His experience with socialist dictatorship formed his political conscience. During the Gulf War, “J.C.” was forced to flee Iraq not once, but twice and eventually came to America as a political asylee.

“J. C.” grew up as a Muslim, adhering to the practices of the Sunni division of Islam. The teachings of Islam influenced and molded his theological thinking, but never took a hold of his spirit. Hence, as a teenager he began searching for an answer to the eternal questions of life.

“J. C.” lost his faith in religion and metaphysical answers after reading the “Origins of Species ” by Charles Darwin.  In the late 90’s, through “Operation Pacific Haven” on the part of the US government , “J. C”, was among a group of 4,000 Kurds who were airlifted to Guam and then to the U.S.A. Here he was exposed to the teachings of Christianity, and his life was radically changed.

In April 2003,  he initiated a mission work to reach out to all those who do not know Christ ,  sharing his personal experience with them.  Then in 2011, he launched an independent mission work “International Outreach Ministry” in an effort to continue the task  he began earlier in the past decade.

Besides the United States, “J. C.” had traveled overseas and spoken at hundreds of rallies and conferences about his life transformation, and his experience coming out of the Middle East.  He recently authored his memoir in a book titled “Miracles In The Mountains.”  In this book, you will read about the firsthand account of his amazing escape out of war torn Iraq after he was forced to flee into the mountains not once, but twice, eventually coming to America.
