Response to Rep. Jim Steineke’s Open Letter To Trump Supporters

This is in response to Rep. Jim Steineke’s Open Letter To Trump Supporters.  Rep. Jim Steineke, Representative of the 5th Assembly District is the Majority Leader of the Wisconsin State Assembly.

The Response

Jim Steineke’s open letter to Trump supporters is interesting to say the least.  I do not involve myself in Facebook, but I have a comment to Steineke’s open letter.

My comment to Steineke is yes, we worked hard to elect more Republicans and the thanks we get is that his name seems to be absent from the co-sponsor list for AB 305 (The Baby Body Parts Bill).  This bill has been held in the committee which he chairs, (Rules Committee) since it was referred there 9/10/15.  Maybe he should be careful throwing rocks at other candidates when he himself lives in a glass house.  Is this the conduct of a ‘conservative’ Republican assemblyman or is he just following orders from Speaker Robin Vos and refusing to bring the bill to the floor for a vote because Vos says there aren’t the votes to pass it excuse.  We all know there are the votes to pass it and even Jim Steineke would probably vote for the bill if it came to the floor, because even though he was not willing to co-sponsor AB 305, I doubt he would vote no in an election year.

Many of us are not over joyed with Trump as the leading candidate for president, but the Republican party is more to blame for that than anyone else. The Republican party is also to blame for AB 305 dying in Steineke’s committee.  If I lived in Steineke’s district I would be able to write An Open Letter to Jim Steineke Supporters #Never Steineke.  AB 305 would be an issue that should stop anyone from supporting him in this next election cycle.
