The Rock River Patriots will be having a meeting on Friday June 25th at 6pm at Kendall Packaging in Jefferson.  At this meeting we will hear a firsthand account of the situation on the border by Arizona Minutemen Gary Mienert. Gary Meinert’s Bio: Gary Meinert, a native of Wisconsin, lives four months a year in his log cabin with his wife, Karlyn, on Boulder Lake in Vilas County. The other eight months is spent in Green Valley, AZ which is located almost half way between Tucson and Nogales. Living only 36 miles from the border he has had the unique opportunity to view first hand, what is now called, a major crisis. For five years he has photographed and documented the illegal activities of the Mexican cartels and their drug and human trafficking. To obtain this information he travels the 1100 square miles of the beautiful, but often, inhospitable Sonoran desert, almost always off trails. He serves on the Citizens Advisory Board of the Nogales Border Patrol Station, the largest in the country. He has developed a mutual trust and respect with many officials. Those include…

Our vetting session was written about in the latest Milwaukee Journal newspaper.  Here is the link to the story: Ron Johnson postpones tea party sessions I think it is important to comment on several issues.  We are quoted in the story as being “constitutional purists”.  That means we want the government to follow the Constitution.  The Founding Fathers witnessed government tyranny firsthand, and devised a way to prevent it from happening again.  One of the reasons our country is in the shape it is in, is because our elected officials do not know or follow the Constitution. Many people complain about massive federal government spending and debt.  What they fail to realize is that most of these agencies with these huge budgets are unconstitutional.  They are better handled at the state or local level! We are also quoted in the story stating we want more detail on issues.  That comment was in part because we had a lot more questions to ask, understanding the Johnson campaign has only a limited amount of time.  However, specific answers are important.  All too often we hear politicians speak in generalities so they are not “pinned down” on any particular issue. This Friday June 11th, the Rock River Patriots will be having a meeting in Jefferson at Kendall Packaging at 6pm.  Kendall Packaging is located at 707 N. Parkway Street in Jefferson. We will have a brief event meeting and then have a candidate forum with U.S. Senate Candidate Ron Johnson.  Since Ron has just recently entered into the U.S. Senate race this will be a good opportunity to get to know who he is and what he stands for. Come with your questions.  If we have missed anything during our Q & A that you would like answered, we will have an opportunity for you to ask those questions.

Here is another reason to fear Big Government. Lieberman Bill Gives Feds ‘Emergency’ Powers to Secure Civilian Nets As this article points out, this bill grants unprecedented power to the government over private businesses in a “cyber-emergency.”  With the federal government defining what the emergency is, we need to be scared and stand up against this bill and/or any bill similar to it. Can we really trust them?  Look at all the things that the federal government can’t do right, like securing our borders.  And we should trust them because they want to “help” us? IT IS TIME TO WAKE UP AMERICA! This originates in the Communist Manifesto and it is all about CONTROL. Two of the ten major “pillars” are accomplished with legislation of this type: Government Control of Communications and Government Control of Labor.  All that is needed is a government-defined “emergency” and these powers will go into effect.
