9/11 Commission – A Whitewash?

No matter what position you take on the 9/11 attacks, this is further proof that “big government” does not work. Was 9/11 Commission a Whitewash? [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUiBOGOs2Nc]

1st Amendment Under Fire – By U.S. Supreme Court Justice Steven Breyer

This is a very slippery slope.  How can Justice Breyer not recognize the difference between these two acts?  Our Constitution does not change just because there is more “globalism” as Breyer suggests. Justice Breyer Suggests That Burning a Quran Could be Like Shouting ‘Fire’ in a Crowded Theatre–Thus Not Protected by 1st Amendment

The GOP’s Pledge To America – Be Skeptical

Here is the GOP’s proposal: Pledge To America This seems like more of the same Republican rhetoric.  Cutting taxes, cutting spending, blah, blah, blah… How about eliminating all of the unconstitutional federal agencies?  Just cutting the growth of unconstitutional government doesn’t address the root of the problem. How about seeking to repeal the 16th Amendment and return to a tax system as the Constitution originally intended? Here are a couple of skeptical reviews of the GOP’s plan: A Critique of the GOP’s New ‘Pledge to America’: Dudes. It’s, Like, 20 Pages Too Long. I’ve Got the One-Page Version Right Here. Perhaps the Most Ridiculous Thing to Come Out of Washington Since George McClellan If it is truly a work in progress as some on talk radio suggest, I recommend you to call the GOP and voice your opinion.

Freedom Of Speech, “The Religion Of Peace”, And The Ground Zero Mosque

Interesting how there are no threats from Christians worldwide when the Iranian Government confiscates and burns Bibles.  However, riots erupt when a cartoon depicting Mohammad is published or there is a threat of widespread violence at even the talk of burning a Koran. Here is the link: Hundreds of Bibles Have Been Burned By The Iranian Government Security Forces Here is an ad by New York Congressional Candidate Republican Renee Ellmers about the Ground Zero Mosque controversy.  It is nice to actually hear a candidate who is not afraid to speak the truth about this issue and cite historical facts to back up her position. Open Carry In Wisconsin

Below is the City of West Allis case regarding Brad Krause that brought about the open carry memo by Wisconsin Attorney General J.P. Van Hollen. There is a more recent case regarding open carry in the news from Madison: ‘Open carry’ group pledges to sue police for issuing citations From an email by Gene German – The Wisconsin Gun Rights Examiner A lawsuit has been filed in Federal court against the City of West Allis by Brad Krause, the man arrested at gunpoint while planting a tree. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN YOU In August of 2008 Brad was enjoying the summer weather by planting a tree in his yard when a neighbor called the West Allis Police Department wondering if a person can wear a holstered firearm within city limits. Police responded by sending two squad cars to Brad’s residence where they found him digging a hole for the tree lying on the ground next to him. The officers immediately drew their weapons and handcuffed him at gunpoint. IGNORANCE OF THE LAW IS NO EXCUSE FOR YOU–AND CERTAINLY NOT FOR POLICE After forty-five minutes of standing in his yard trying to figure out what crime they could charge him with,…
