Even though he was very wrong in signing the Alien and Sedition Acts in 1798, our 2nd President, John Adams, was right when he stated:
“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
Many have asked where the nations pastors are in the fight to take back our country. The Black Robe Regiment was instrumental in the American Revolution. So where have the pastors been that our country has gotten in the shape it is in? Where are they now when they are needed most? Here is a great article by World Net Daily about this very issue: Pastors taken to task for political apathy
Remember Pastor Martin Niemoller’s verse about the dangers of political apathy? Niemoller, writing about the apathy that allowed the Nazis to victimize group after group, put it in very simple terms:
They came first for the Communists,
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew.
Then they came for me
and by that time no one was left to speak up.
