  1. Hello fellow RRP, has anyone else read the article from the Campaign for Liberty link about several states passing laws to block the implementation of the 2012 NDAA detainment and other provisions? The States v. NDAA Detention Provisions
Virginia, Tennessee, and Washington State are the first States to fire back at the federal government ( The Obama Administration for signing and the Congress for passing) for the National Defense Authorization Act’s (NDAA) detention provisions.

In Virginia, HB 1160 was recently introduced. It protects against the unconstitutional detention of United States citizens. The bill “prevents any agency, political subdivision, employee, or member of the military of Virginia from assisting an agency or the armed forces of the United States in the investigation, prosecution, or detainment of a United States citizen in violation of the Constitution of Virginia.”

I was wondering if anyone knew of any such legislation pending here in Wi.?

I just found this online course.

No grades. Free but they will take donations.

I had a Constitutional Law Course as an undergrad. The understanding I got from that class has greatly helped me.

  3. My wife said, ” that I should get a carry permit” because I wrote the following published letter to the editor of a couple papers. I told her those who read the constitution wouldn’t object..

It is ironic that one of the instigators of the recall petitions, State Senator Scott Fitzgerald, is complaining about the cost to have him, other republican senators and Governor Walker recalled. It seems he doesn’t understand how little he has done to defend democracy in the state of Wisconsin. For example, his support of a voter ID law, not to reduce voter fraud, but to prevent minorities, students and the elderly from voting, will cost the state millions of dollars to implement and is a direct attack on citizen’s right to vote. In addition, the state will lose millions of dollars in state ID revenue (it cost $28 to obtain a state ID before the law was passed, they are now free) for perpetuity. He and his brother’s gerrymandering of districts to favor his party have resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees paid for by the taxpayers. As the world marvels at a third county, China, successes with high speed rail he sat silent while the Governor rejected high speed rail in Jefferson County, which would have put the county on the fast track for the future.

It is time for the Fitzgerald dynasty (his brother is head of the state assembly, his father was appointed “top cop”, head of the state patrol by the governor) to end.

It is a shame that all the local people who worked so hard to gather signatures to make the recall of Senator Fitzgerald and Governor Walker possible did not get more recognition for the outstanding job they have done. I can only say, thank you for making this recall possible.

    • I would hardly call Fitzgerald an instigator. This is really about who will control the State of Wisconsin. Will it be the teacher’s unions or the taxpayers?

High speed rail is a scam and not self supporting. They are a drain on cities all over the country.

      • RRP..You didn’t read the letter. I’m not a teacher, I’m not a union member Fitz is in the pocket of big money and needs to be replaced. If high speed rail is a scam, what about airports? Do you think they are self supporting?

Time for you to qoute Washington, Adams and Jefferson on the need for high speed rail and airports. Stick to the Consititution leave transportation to goverment…..

  4. Is the RRP independent or a right wing group of know nothing that measure barrel length over intelligence?

    • Nice Jerry, again you revert to being derogatory. RRP is closer to libertarian than anything, The left right paradigm is part of the dialectic.

  5. The assembly with the help of outside money want you to make Wisconsin into a waste land People in Fort Akinson have no “dog in the race” when destorying Wisconsin’s enviroment….Who is the Cline Group in Plam Beach FL that is push this bill?

  6. “Jerry, I’m sure you can help these folks since you are so concerned. Thanks in advance.” RRP not to intelligence answer to restricting voters rights.

Sorry can’t do it by myself, I need the help of true independents who are on the payroll of the Koch brothers and other like people trying to control Wisconsin. But RRP is right I’m concerned

    See y’all at the polls..

  7. When the recall election finally occur, vote for the people that support your constitutuinal right to vote

    • One eligible voter – one vote…confirmed with an I.D. Pretty simple.

      • Unless you’re Black, elderly or a student.

      • Really Jerry? That is pretty harsh on your part toward black, elderly, and student voters. Do you consider them to ignorant or incapable of getting an ID? In that case you could claim our driving laws are discriminatory, requires people to go to the DMV, take a test, and get an…………ID

  8. Remember when you vote in the recall election that Walker, the Fitzgerald’s and the Republican organization knowing try and probably suceeded in preventing students, the elderly and minorities from voting by passing a bill requirering photo ID.

I hope your grandmother has a birth certificate…..

    • So what you are saying is that the elderly, students, and minorities are too stupid to be able to get a WI ID card? I find your lack of faith disturbing.

      • I find your lack of understanding of what happens when you don’t have a driver license, like say a disable vet to be amazing,. did you know in Wisconsin many of the elderly where born at home in rural areas have no birth certificate? Did you know if you were born out-of state it may cost many dollars to get a birth certificate? I find your lack of knowledge to be discomposing

      • Jerry, I’m sure you can help these folks since you are so concerned. Thanks in advance.

      • Every county has a vet service officer to help the vets in their county. All it takes is a phone call. As far as no birth certificate…They might have been born at home, but eventually would have obtained one to work, etc…If you need to get your birth certificate from out of state, it may well cost some money. Oh well…It is a document worth spending the money for.

It has nothing to do with a lack of knowledge…it has everything to do with people being responsible for their own affairs.

    • Sorry…..but this is just plain ‘stupid’ reasoning. I have to show an ID to withdraw money at the bank, I have to show an ID to use a Credit Card, I have to show an ID to purchase a Fishing License, I have to show an ID at the Dept of Motor Vehicles. What is wrong with having to show an ID to Vote in Wisconsin??? The ONLY reason there is resistance to the voter ID card is because the libs see it as a threat to them being able to get the illegals, and others who should not be voting in the first place, to vote for them!!! People who are not willing to show ID to vote should not be able to vote….PERIOD! It is all together reasonable for a voter to have to prove that he is eligible to vote, in order to actually vote….PERIOD!

      • Alas Rick your lack of understand of an effort to control goverment by a few very wealthy people is appalling. If you doubt that the effort is underway ask yourself who pays for the RRP’s speakers.

If you find out, apparently it is a secert, let me know.

      • Jerry…You said you already know it is the Koch Brothers, so why continue asking. You could always make a donation.

      • Does it upset you that you have to provide a national ID, you SS# to get a state hunting or fishing license?

      • You need a State ID. It does bother me regarding the SS# for a variety of reasons. Social Security started out as a voluntary unconstitutional program and now look at it. A program at the State Level would at least be constitutional. Much money could be saved from eliminating all the federal bureaucracy and put into trust style accounts owned by the individual at the State Level.

  9. Watch the Assembly vote on mining regulations, which may come up in the next couple of weeks. We need jobs and a clean enviroment.

There is far to much mining lobbyist money floating around Madison and to many politicians lining up with their hands out.

  10. RRP on recall..”One guy claimed to the news media that he signed recall petitions 80 times. That is one example.”

    I claim that I have more money than the Koch’s. I don’t, but I can claim anything I want…..

Fitzgerald recall passes the 10,000 mark…

    • Well…We’ll see how many duplicate signatures are found when they go through them.

      • They’re being screened by the gathering groups and must, according to law, be screened by those being recalled if they wish to protest signitures..

Hope no one goes blind looking at a few hundred thousand signitures.

  11. Scott Fitzgerald recall well pass the mid point..Walker recall approaching completion. Any comments?

  12. Seen like all the recent comments were deleted and the old stuff remains. Why not clean off the page and we will start with a fresh slate.

    • I was deleting the old comments as you suggested…It was taking quite a while, so I took a break. I’ll work on some more soon.

    • The comments page has been cleaned up pretty well now. Hope it helps.

      • Help me to understand, you haven’t seen the petitions, no one but a very small group has seen them, yet you know that there are hundreds, thousands of fraudulent signatures. Are you psychic or do you believe what you read with out challenging the source? The source of the duplicate signatures statement is?

Recall is a two step process, petition then the election, that is if you have a valid state ID. There are more than enough lawyers on both sides of the process to assure it is a fair process.

By the way I don’t know who, “You guys,” are. I’m an independent, as are most of the RRP members?

      • One guy claimed to the news media that he signed recall petitions 80 times. That is one example.

  13. The venture capital committee has been appointed. Discussion will soon be underway. So far there has been over $150,000 of lobbyist money spent by firms from outside of Wisconsin to get a piece of the Wisconsin taxpayer’s pie. Follow this closely and let your senator know your watching…

  14. And Gerald is a perfect example of that statement lol

  15. MADISON — A state worker was fired Thursday, hours after sending his colleagues an email about the Department of Transportation’s policy to give out free photo identification cards only if voters ask for them.

Chris Larsen was fired after he sent the email to all employees at the Department of Safety and Professional Services mail room. Larsen had worked there in the mail room.

    “It’s insane,” Larsen said.

John Murray, executive assistant at the Department of Safety and Professional Services, said the firing is under review, adding that Larsen had violated work rules in the past, including the inappropriate use of work email.

Larsen said he hadn’t been disciplined in the past.

The law requires voters to show certain photo identification at the polls — including a driver’s license or passport — to cast a ballot starting next year. Republicans said it was needed to combat voter fraud, while Democratic opponents said it would unfairly restrict access to the polls.

The free ID option was added as a way to address concerns that people without identification would be subject to an illegal poll tax by having to pay the $28 to obtain an ID.

The fee is waived if certain requirements are met and the applicant checks the appropriate box on the application.
