There will be NO Rock River Patriots meeting this Friday November 23rd due to the Thanksgiving holiday.  Our next meeting will be on Friday December 14th. The Rock River Patriots want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.  Even thought our country is headed in the wrong direction, we have much to be thankful for.  Please take a little time out of your busy schedule today and give thanks to God for all His blessings and pray for this nation. The Rock River Patriots will be having a meeting in Fort Atkinson this Friday November 9th at 6:00 pm in the Dwight Foster Library.  The Dwight Foster Library is located at 209 Merchants Ave.  We will discuss the election results and discuss future plans / initiatives.  This is the only meeting in November. On the election…(more will be discussed at the meeting) Many were surprised by the election results from night.  While personally hoping the outcome would be different, deep down in my soul I have always had an uneasy feeling about both Romney and Obama.  Both are in favor of big government.  Yes, the flavor is a little different, but the brand is very similar.  Choosing the Republican may have slowed down the nation from the economic cliff, but we would still be heading that way. I have no reason to address the Democratic party in this analysis because they have been morally bankrupt and unprincipled for a long time.  A group that has no problem with the killing unborn children, really needs no other explanation. We were told by the anti-gun crowd there would be blood in the streets as a result of the passage of Concealed Carry.  We were told Wisconsin would be like the Wild West.  We were told law abiding citizens were a dangerous group who could not be trusted to carry concealed weapons. We look one year later after the implementation of WI Act 35…None of the things we were told would happen have come to pass.  What has happened, however, is people are more able to protect themselves.  People are empowered.  No longer do they need to be “helpless sheep” that are prey for the “wolves”. This should be an example for everyone of the typical fear mongering that we see by the leftist, communist, socialist, and collectivist groups on virtually every issue.  Start calling them out for who and what they are!  These groups operate on the tactic of using fear to control people to do their bidding.  By scaring the “daylights” out of people, fear forces people to operate on raw emotion instead of logic and rational thought.  People are in a “perpetual fight or flight” mode, a terrible place to be.  Common sense and rational thought goes…
